Founding[]
The Empire of Askalar was formed during the reign of King Alexandre Televara of the Kingdom of Kordon in 506 A.E. .Following declaring himself Emperor of Askalar, King Alaren Bearclaw of the Kingdom of Stengar, and their vassal Kingdom of Libertia, swore fealty to the emperor.

Ascension and Consolidation of Power[]
In the days that followed the plot to remove Alexandre from power, Alfonso became increasingly paranoid and ruthless. He employed his personal retinue to carry out assassinations and disappearances of those he considered disloyal. He would go on to reform the Capital guard into his own personal secret police that would handle political dissidents.
Permanent Occupation of Halrin[]
A new condition of the freshly risen Emperor was the permanent occupation of Halrin by a Kordonian garrison. King Alaren ultimately agreed to these terms but not happily.
Betrayals[]
In the chaos that followed the coronation of the new Emperor, Alexandre Televara's family managed to slip away from forces loyal to Emperor Alfonso de Luna. This would be the first in a string of disappearances that weakened the new Emperor's position. As more of these disappearances began to mount, Alfonso began to suspect that it was forces within the Empire that were aiding his enemies. However, it would take time before Alfonso had the time to investigate these matters.
